Elev8 Premier brings fuming to this amazing piece they call the peacock. Fumed with 24k gold and pure silver, this is one amazing color changing pipe! If you have not seen a color changing pipe in person, get ready for some fun! As you use the piece the colors of the gold and silver really begin to show. The pipe does not really change color, but the way the light reflects through the precious metals makes it look as though it was changing colors.
This pipe is first made from what we call a slug (45mm tube on a 12mm tube of glass). Its then heated in spots and is pressed with pick to make a dent that will later become a bubble. Elev8 Premier then fumes the glass with the precious metals just right. Too much and it looks bad, too little and it will not pop. Then the artist takes clear and traps the fume and hole to create the pattern. The artist then melts the glass and shapes it to this peacock pipe.
