- 10mm Male Joint
This moose done by Matt Robertson stands at 10” tall. The color used is Blue Cheese and the antlers have a frit detailing. This rig is a #1 and it is signed, dated (2017), numbered and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. The crazy attention to detail really put this piece over the top.
It was early in life when Matt Robertson knew he was meant to be a professional artist. Robertson Glass spent many years working in different mediums before discovering glass blowing. He fell in love with the art of glas blowing while attending Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario in 2003. Matt Robertson Glass completed Sheridan’s Craft and Design Glass program where Robertson learned techniques in both soft (soda lime) and hard glass (borosilicate) from established international glass artists. In early 2009 Matt took that experience and resettled in Canada where he has become a part of a movement in Contemporary Art. Matt continues his journey creating, teaching and promoting glass art in his community and beyond. He has honed his skills as a professional well-rounded glass artist while energetically promoting glass as a contemporary art form. After graduating from Sheridan College Matt Robertson moved to Eugene, Oregon which is renowned as an epicenter for artistic glassblowers. It was in Eugene where Matt Robertson Glass began developing meGLASS. “What up y’all, my name is Matt! I try and make work that is a little different from everything else out there, pieces that POP when you see them on a shelf. Every piece is signed and inspected for quality assurance before it leaves my shop.” “I love what I do and in turn, I put a little of that love into each and every piece I make. After the wood rots and the metal rusts, the glass will still shine. Watch out for me. BLESS!” For 3 years, Matt was a resident artist and teacher at the Living Arts Centre working with soft glass while continuing to work with boroscilica daily in his personal studio. Matt’s work is represented in Art Galleries and shops across North America. In 2011 Matt and his partner Kyle Brooke opened their own studio/gallery, The Edy Roy Glass Gallery in Burlington, Ontario, where he creates and showcases both functional and non-functional glass art.
