This is an incredible glass marble globe and stand made by Geoffrey Beetem Designs. The marble measures approximately 2.9 inches in diameter and the clear stand is about a 2.3 inch cube. Together they stand about 5.2 inches high. The stand has beveled edges and a circular divot which allows the globe to be easily rotated on the stand. The globe marble itself is made from layers of blue glass, with landmasses which were carefully cut using sheets of dichroic glass. Swirls of white frit and UV-reactive frit were used to make the clouds.
