This is not just a lamp. It is a living celestial instrument forged in glass and light. Handcrafted by Steve Kelnhofer and Jim Turner, this monumental stained glass lamp stands approximately 2.5 feet tall and transforms any space into a sanctuary of color, energy, and motion.

Built using premium Oceanside stained glass, the lamp features a fully illuminated celestial design with handcrafted borosilicate glass celestial elements permanently fused into the structure. At its center, the radiant sun serves as a functional sundial clock, anchoring the piece in both time and symbolism.  The sun is hand made, along with the white stars and moons.  The moons and stars are sticking outside a bit, creating a pop up feel.  Each moon also features small craters.  There is no lamp like this on earth.  

Programmable light transforms the glass into a living sculpture

Integrated into both the base and the shade are fully programmable LED lighting systems. The base contains a programmable inner LED strip, while the top contains its own independent LED light source. As the light colors shift, the stained glass itself transforms, revealing hidden layers, new tones, and entirely new visual personalities.

Deep blues become electric violet. Reds ignite into molten fire. Greens emerge from nowhere. This piece does not simply display color. It generates an evolving visual experience that changes with every lighting program.
