HOW TO PLUCK A FOAM CASE FOR A DAB RIG

Why would you need a hard case for your glass and how hard is it to pluck one for yourself? Hard cases provide dependable protection and we think its a good idea to pick one up if you find yourself in need of storing an expensive glass. The other benefit of hard cases is organization, pluckable cases offer customizable compartments that make it easy for you to keep your various glass and tool organized while on the go.

1. Open your case and place the item on top of the pluckable foam in the desired storage area. Keep in mind that you should keep at least a 1 inch of buffer space between the edges and corners of the case.

2. If you’re storing multiple items in one case be sure to space them out to provide enough foam cushion to protect the items from each other.

3. You will need a handful of toothpicks or something of a similar nature handy. Using the gridded pattern of the pluckable foam as a guide, insert the toothpicks to mark the silhouette of the item or items desired.

4. Remove the item and pluck away all of the foam from the first layer of the case. Be careful to only pluck from the inside of the outlined shape.

5. With all the foam and toothpicks removed try inserting your desired items. You may have to adjust the outline by removing some more foam at your discretion.

6. Some cases have a second layer of foam for items of a larger volume. You can place the item in the case and gently try closing the lid. If the item fits snuggly and the case closes you're done. If the lid does not close try repeating the steps above on the second layer of foam to make room for those extra deep sections of your item.
