Takoda was a great guest and fun to watch! We got to learn how he got his start. After seeing glass blowing for the first time at 16 in his hometown in Vermont he realized his love for the art. As he grew in the industry and learned more and more about how big and awesome it was. In his own words, he says this journey has grown to be more amazing then he could have imagine. Like most glass blowers he started small, and he still has the very first pipe he ever made. But as he learned more and more his skills have obviously exploded to be one of the best glass blowers around!
Takoda.Madrona was always inspired by art, he also paints, sketching, and even acting and said even today he loves to be able to express himself through glass blowing. When you do something your passionate about and love it shows with your work and Takoda.Madrona’s work speaks for itself. Takoda talked about his love for when he taught newcomers how to glass blow, it helped him fine tune his own craft, while also getting to enjoy the progression of his past students. Being only 27 Takoda already has a lot of notoriety and respect and we are super excited we were able to hear from him and about his glass blowing journey. Even more excited to see the 20 years from him!
